Social Distancing for the Holidays

As you may remember from my last update, Thrive School decided to go virtual from Thanksgiving break until Christmas break in order to decrease the number of people going home for the holidays and coming back multiple times because of covid precautions. As you may also remember from my last update, I had tested positive and had a moderate case of covid at the end of November. I am thankful to say that the symptoms passed quickly (within about a week) and with no complications that followed.

My D Group gals and I got together outdoors for coffee after my quarantine from covid was over. You can see a picture above of us hanging out outside the fountains in Roseville in front of the Christmas tree. The girls in our group have bonded very well together, and we all enjoy each other’s company and have been able to build each other up and encourage one another in our journeys.

Paige (another intern at Bayside Midtown) and I were given the assignment to record all the videos for Bayside Midtown’s social media stories for the 12 Days of Christmas countdown giveaways. You can see a picture above of me and Paige on the Instagram story.

I had the privilege of singing for one of our worship service recordings, which you can see here:  https://youtu.be/jSuj8vyRVOU

Here is the link to a fun Christmas mashup music video I had the privilege in being a part of making with our youth and media team at Bayside Midtown if you’d like to see what we worked on: https://youtu.be/jfjzMDv1rVM. Above, you can also see a picture I took from the fab 40s Christmas lights downtown Sacramento where we filmed part of the music video. Above is also a picture of me in the recording studio where we filmed art of the music video as well.

Here is the link to the message I had the privilege of tag teaming about Mary, the mother of Jesus, with some of our amazing youth leaders at Bayside Midtown if you’re interested in watching it: https://youtu.be/Cl7_Mm1Zhig. Above, you can also see a picture of me, Lolo (Lauren, one of high school girl leaders at Midtown), and Cha Cha (Cheyenne, another one of our high school girl leaders at Midtown) as we give the message live every Wednesday night on our Youtube page.

Bayside Granite Bay opened an ice rink over the holidays and had a light show each night during December and into January. Above, you can see a picture of my brother and I standing in front of the Chritsmas tree at Bayside Granite Bay. We wore our masks and social distanced outside while we watched the Christmas light show and ice skated. Then we drove over to Bayside Adventure and enjoyed the drive thru light show there.

I have been blessed with the equipment and support I need recently to delve more into the path of songwriting and producing. My intern director at Bayside Midtown, Gilbert Acevedo, has offered to help me produce music I’m writing and recording right now. This is a new avenue I’m excited to explore as my hope is to produce an album before the summer is over in 2021. Stay tuned in to future updates for a possible single releasing from the album sooner than the summer.
