Here We Go!

Hey everybody!
I’ll start with my update over at Midtown YTH. We have begun meeting back in person finally! It is so exciting to see all the students faces and have a safe place for them to interact, learn about God, foster their own personal relationship with Him, and learn how to have healthy relationships with others. I love being a 46 YTH Lead, and I also get to do messages occasionally and speak to the 7th-12th YTH students. Here is a link to a Wednesday night message I was able to co-lead with my friend and teammate Cheyenne (AKA Cha Cha) about anxiety and stress to our students. Here is another link to a talk I was able to do with Pastor G and Levi the Passion Guy on a Sunday morning for our YTH fam. You can see a picture from that Sunday above. We have been re-thinking and re-creating the worship experience for our YTH, so there will be more to come on that.
As I mentioned, we have been able to meet in person with our YTH fam a couple times in the last month. One was a tribe night, and you can see pics of the students, me, and some of our other leaders playing pictionary. We went through a series called “The Character of God” and had Bible project videos that correlated to the series for our 46 students. For 7th-12th, we had a message series called “You Feel Me” that discussed the humanity of Jesus. Above you can also see a picture of a little painting I made, and you may be asking yourself why, well it is because one of our in person YTH events was a girls craft night! It was super fun and so many of the girls had a great time. We did vision boards, painting, and had pizza and cookies.
It was Passover this month, so me and the Midtown YTH team made a semi-traditional Seder dinner with a Seder plate to remember all the LORD has done for His people and the first communion and last super of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It was a beautiful celebration and meal. You can see a picture of the Seder plate and homemade matzah above.
Over at Modern Abolition, I’ve been promoted to the shop manager. We also finally released our new line! It is called Springn’. You can find our line online here, or you can go into Fourscore Coffee in Roseville and check it out for yourself! Some pictures of the new line are above. Stay tuned on all our new products and gear by following us on Instagram and Facebook. You can also check out what current products we have on our website by clicking this link. You can also see a T-shirt I helped make for our YTH leaders above.
Since Modern Abolition is a nonprofit, we are trying to raise funds for more stability in the outreach we love to do and the projects we fuel. I am only able to work a certain number of part time hours due to the nature of the business, but I love to volunteer more time there. The awesome thing about working for a nonprofit is that people can set up financial donations with Modern Abolition (MA), get tax write offs, and know their money is going towards supporting a good cause. Part of the funds are allocated towards employee revenue, so the more of a solid donor base we have, the more hours I am able to get paid for. If this is something that you or anyone you know would be interested in being a part of, please connect with me. We would love to have more partners of people who believe in our mission and brand. You will get cool custom gear being a part of our team, and we will keep you in the loop on what is happening over at MA!
Above, you can see a teaser for my album, it is going to be my album cover! I have finished the beginning stages of writing all 6 songs for my album, and am now in the refining and mastering process! This six song album is based off of 2020. I will be releasing a single soon called “Take It Slow,” and this will be the first song in the album. I haven’t posted any music videos in awhile, but will try to film one and post it to Youtube in the next month. Then I will be able to hopefully share it in my next update! If you haven’t seen any of my music videos, check out my Youtube page: Shaelyn Ingalls-Saraceni.
As always, thanks for reading!
